To Members of Missouri Basin Bowmen:
We have the new access lock installed and operating. As decided at the meeting, we will be issuing access cards to paid-up members who would like them for $60 per year. This is good for direct members of a family e.g. husband, wife and children under 18. We can code the card so if dues are not paid or you fail to renew the card with payment it can be cancelled. With the system, we are able to determine whose card has been used to access the building. In addition, there will be video surveillance. Most importantly is to use the building responsibly and according to the rules. Failure to do so will result in the card being cancelled without a refund. Allowing others to use the card without you present will result in cancellation.
The card will run from October 1 to September 30 of the following year. Cards will be issued quarterly so we do not have to be programming a card every other day. The fee will be prorated by quarter, $60, 45, 30, and 15. There will be a $5 deposit, which will be refunded when the card is returned in useable condition. Hours are from 6 am to midnight. If you want a card, send $65 prior to October 1, 2005. If you miss that date, you will need to wait until January 1, 2006 unless you want to pay an additional $15 programming fee and the full $65.
If you have questions please contact Connie Hval at W 527-2020 ext 102, H 774-8094 or email chval@dia.net or Kent Reierson at W 577-6771, H 774-1040 or email lawhuntr@nccray.net.
UPDATE ON CLUB ACTIVITIES
1. Work continues on the building
Wednesday evenings about seven. Please stop and help, all are welcome as we have
many different things to do. Call Steve Rehak or Kent Reierson to confirm work
nights. Thanks to Wayne Colebank for his leadership on the project as well as
all who have been donating a lot of time and effort.
2. $6,000 has been put into a CD as a payment for a year if we fall on hard
times. The board approved finishing the balcony if the cost is less than $3,500
so we leave at least a $1,000 as operating money.
3. The Board approved asking Bruce Balerud to install the video surveillance for
about $800. Bruce will accept a life membership as part payment. If you see
Bruce, thank him for installing the access lock at no charge.
4. Annual meeting and social will be January 4, 2006. If you are interested in a
board position, let a current board member know. Super Bowl Shoot and proposed
get together social are planned for February 4 & 5, 2006 and the Spring
Shoot March 18 & 19, 2006.
5. We have received $2,500 from Gold Star, $500 from Border States, $350 from
API, and $700 from Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Thank the people associated
with these entities for their support.
